Will Return is a clock sign screensaver for macOS that tells your coworkers and customers your return time while you are away from your desk at workplace. The return time can be set in advance in the settings.

  • You can preset the return time to a specific time, such as “Will return at 9 a.m.”, or a relative time, such as “Will return in 1 hour (from the start of the screensaver, it will be, for example, 2 p.m.)”
  • You can also continuously show the current time and use it like a normal clock by setting “Will return in no time”
  • PM indicator can be optionally shown on the clock face if you want to indicate that the return time is p.m.
  • Time Expired indicator can be optionally shown as a badge icon on the upper right corner of the clock sign if the return time has expired
  • Your message text can be optionally shown below the clock sign, such as “Please call again”, “Out to lunch!”, “Gone running”, emojis, and so on
  • The background shows your current desktop wallpaper with a dark blur effect
  • The style of the clock sign is faithfully based on that of the general Will Return clock signs in the USA

Please Note

  • If you want to show the current time in comparison with the return time, select the checkbox for “Show with clock” in the Desktop & Screensaver pane of the macOS System Preferences
  • If you set to “Will return in no time”, the return time does not expire and the Time Expired indicator does not activate
  • The clock sign is always jiggling (otherwise, the screen appears frozen)
  • For multiple displays, the clock sign will only appear on the primary screen
  • To activate the screensaver for a long time, you need to delay or disable the display sleep in the Energy Saver pane of the macOS System Preferences
  • For your data security, it is recommended to select the checkbox for “Require password after sleep or screen saver begins” in the Security & Privacy pane of the macOS System Preferences
